Der Lehre zuhören
„Mönche und Nonnen, der Lehre zuzuhören, hat fünf Vorteile. Welche fünf? Man bekommt zu hören, was man noch nicht gehört hat, und was man gehört hat, wird einem klar. Man überwindet Unsicherheit, berichtigt seine Ansichten und weckt Zuversicht in seinem Herzen. Das sind die fünf Vorteile davon, der Lehre zuzuhören.“
Listening to the Teaching
“Mendicants, there are these five benefits of listening to the teaching. What five? You learn new things, clarify what you’ve learned, get over uncertainty, correct your views, and inspire confidence in your mind. These are the five benefits of listening to the teaching.”

“Pañcime, bhikkhave, ānisaṁsā dhammassavane. Katame pañca? Assutaṁ suṇāti, sutaṁ pariyodāpeti, kaṅkhaṁ vitarati, diṭṭhiṁ ujuṁ karoti, cittamassa pasīdati. Ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca ānisaṁsā dhammassavane”ti.
