Revata der Zweifler
Sieh diese Weisheit der Klargewordenen! Wie ein loderndes Feuer in der Nacht, das Licht spendet, Sehen spendet, so vertreiben sie den Zweifel derer, die gekommen sind.
So wurde diese Strophe vom Ehrwürdigen Revata dem Zweifler, dem altehrwürdigen Mönch, aufgesagt.
Chapter One
Revata the Doubter
See this wisdom of the Realized Ones! Like a fire blazing in the night, giving light, giving vision, they dispel the doubt of those who’ve come.
That is how this verse was recited by the senior venerable Revata the Doubter.
Paṭhamavagga
Kaṅkhārevatattheragāthā
“Paññaṁ imaṁ passa tathāgatānaṁ, Aggi yathā pajjalito nisīthe; Ālokadā cakkhudadā bhavanti, Ye āgatānaṁ vinayanti kaṅkhan”ti.
Itthaṁ sudaṁ āyasmā kaṅkhārevato thero gāthaṁ abhāsitthāti.
