Willensbildungsprozesse nicht erkennen

In Sāvatthī.

Als er sich zur Seite hingesetzt hatte, sagte der Wanderer Vacchagotta zum Buddha:

„Was ist der Grund, werter Gotama, was ist die Ursache, dass diese verschiedenen Arten von Irrglauben in der Welt erscheinen …?“

„Vaccha, es ist, weil man Willensbildungsprozesse nicht erkennt, nicht ihren Ursprung, nicht ihr Aufhören und nicht die Übung, die zu ihrem Aufhören führt …“

Not Knowing Choices

At Sāvatthī.

Then the wanderer Vacchagotta said to the Buddha:

“What is the cause, worthy Gotama, what is the reason why these various misconceptions arise in the world? …”

“Vaccha, it is because of not knowing choices, their origin, their cessation, and the practice that leads to their cessation …”

Saṅkhāraaññāṇasutta

Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho vacchagotto paribbājako bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:

“ko nu kho, bho gotama, hetu, ko paccayo, yānimāni anekavihitāni diṭṭhigatāni loke uppajjanti—

“Saṅkhāresu kho, vaccha, aññāṇā, saṅkhārasamudaye aññāṇā, saṅkhāranirodhe aññāṇā, saṅkhāranirodhagāminiyā paṭipadāya aññāṇā;
