Samiddhis Fragen über die Welt
„Herr, man spricht von dieser Sache, die ‚die Welt‘ genannt wird. Inwiefern gibt es die Welt oder was man als die Welt kennt?“
„Samiddhi, wo es das Auge gibt, wo es Bilder, Augenbewusstsein und die Dinge gibt, die durch das Augenbewusstsein erkennbar sind, dort ist die Welt oder was man als die Welt kennt. Wo es das Ohr … die Nase … die Zunge … den Körper gibt … Wo es den Geist gibt, wo es Vorstellungen, Geistbewusstsein und die Dinge gibt, die durch das Geistbewusstsein erkennbar sind, dort ist die Welt oder was man als die Welt kennt.
Wo es kein Auge gibt, wo es keine Bilder, kein Augenbewusstsein und keine Dinge gibt, die durch das Augenbewusstsein erkennbar sind, dort ist keine Welt oder was man als die Welt kennt. Wo es kein Ohr … keine Nase … keine Zunge … keinen Körper gibt … Wo es keinen Geist gibt, wo es keine Vorstellungen, kein Geistbewusstsein und keine Dinge gibt, die durch das Geistbewusstsein erkennbar sind, dort ist keine Welt oder was man als die Welt kennt.“

“Sir, they speak of this thing called ‘the world’. How do we define the world or what is known as the world?”
“Samiddhi, where there is the eye, sights, eye consciousness, and things knowable by eye consciousness, there is the world or what is known as the world. Where there is the ear … nose … tongue … body … Where there is the mind, ideas, mind consciousness, and things knowable by mind consciousness, there is the world or what is known as the world.
Where there is no eye, no sights, no eye consciousness, and no things knowable by eye consciousness, there is no world or what is known as the world. Where there is no ear … nose … tongue … body … Where there is no mind, no ideas, no mind consciousness, and no things knowable by mind consciousness, there is no world or what is known as the world.”

“‘Loko, loko’ti, bhante, vuccati. Kittāvatā nu kho, bhante, loko vā assa lokapaññatti vā”ti?
“Yattha kho, samiddhi, atthi cakkhu, atthi rūpā, atthi cakkhuviññāṇaṁ, atthi cakkhuviññāṇaviññātabbā dhammā, atthi tattha loko vā lokapaññatti vāti …pe… atthi jivhā …pe… atthi mano, atthi dhammā, atthi manoviññāṇaṁ, atthi manoviññāṇaviññātabbā dhammā, atthi tattha loko vā lokapaññatti vā.
Yattha ca kho, samiddhi, natthi cakkhu, natthi rūpā, natthi cakkhuviññāṇaṁ, natthi cakkhuviññāṇaviññātabbā dhammā, natthi tattha loko vā lokapaññatti vā …pe… natthi jivhā …pe… natthi mano, natthi dhammā, natthi manoviññāṇaṁ, natthi manoviññāṇaviññātabbā dhammā, natthi tattha loko vā lokapaññatti vā”ti.
