„Mönche und Nonnen, von einer schwarzen Schlange gehen fünf Nachteile aus. Welche fünf? Sie ist zornig, verbittert, giftig, hat eine gespaltene Zunge und ist tückisch. Diese fünf Nachteile gehen von einer schwarzen Schlange aus.

Ebenso gehen von einer Frauensperson fünf Nachteile aus. Welche fünf? Sie ist zornig, verbittert, giftig, hat eine gespaltene Zunge und ist tückisch. Das ist das Gift einer Frauensperson: Sie ist gewöhnlich voller Wollust. Das ist die gespaltene Zunge einer Frauensperson: Sie redet gewöhnlich so, dass sie andere entzweit. Das ist die Tücke einer Frauensperson: Sie ist gewöhnlich eine Ehebrecherin. Diese fünf Nachteile gehen von einer Frauensperson aus.“

“Mendicants, there are these five drawbacks of a black snake. What five? It’s irritable, acrimonious, venomous, fork-tongued, and treacherous. These are the five dangers of a black snake.

In the same way there are five drawbacks of a lady. What five? She’s irritable, acrimonious, venomous, fork-tongued, and treacherous. This is a lady’s venom: usually she’s very lustful. This is a lady’s forked tongue: usually she backbites. This is a lady’s treachery: usually she’s an adulteress. These are the five drawbacks of a lady.”

Dutiyakaṇhasappasutta

“Pañcime, bhikkhave, ādīnavā kaṇhasappe. Katame pañca? Kodhano, upanāhī, ghoraviso, dujjivho, mittadubbhī. Ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca ādīnavā kaṇhasappe.

Evamevaṁ kho, bhikkhave, pañcime ādīnavā mātugāme. Katame pañca? Kodhano, upanāhī, ghoraviso, dujjivho, mittadubbhī. Tatridaṁ, bhikkhave, mātugāmassa ghoravisatā— yebhuyyena, bhikkhave, mātugāmo tibbarāgo. Tatridaṁ, bhikkhave, mātugāmassa dujjivhatā— yebhuyyena, bhikkhave, mātugāmo pisuṇavāco. Tatridaṁ, bhikkhave, mātugāmassa mittadubbhitā— yebhuyyena, bhikkhave, mātugāmo aticārinī. Ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca ādīnavā mātugāme”ti.
