Pāli canon (Library)
- SuttaCentral & the Bilara project — Pāli original text and segmented translations. Published under CC0 (public domain). suttacentral.net
- German translations mostly by Ayyā Sabbamittā.
- English translations mostly by Bhikkhu Sujato.
- Jātaka — the 547 birth stories, together with the Introductory Narrative (Nidānakathā) that precedes them: the German wording in the rendering by Julius Dutoit (1872–1958), published in six volumes 1908–1916. Text version from palikanon.com. The translation remains in copyright until the end of 2028 and enters the public domain on 1 January 2029. In 82 of the tales Dutoit’s German stands beside Pāli and English from SuttaCentral; in 50 of those, SuttaCentral additionally carries the title and the verse in German (Ayyā Sabbamittā), but not the narrative itself. Both rights situations are named beneath those tales.

- Abhidhamma Piṭaka — the seven books (Dhammasaṅgaṇī, Vibhaṅga, Dhātukathā, Puggalapaññatti, Kathāvatthu, Yamaka, Paṭṭhāna): held in full in the library; the Pāli text of all seven comes from SuttaCentral / Bilara (Mahāsaṅgīti edition, public domain, CC0). In German, the Dhammasaṅgaṇī (translated by Ñāṇapoṇika Thera, published with the permission of the Buddhist Publication Society and the Pali Text Society) and three parts of the Paṭṭhāna (translated by Ayya Agganyani) are available — issued by the Abhidhamma-Förderverein e.V. and reproduced here under the association's permission of 10 August 2026: unaltered, with translators and association named, free of advertising, removable at any time.
- Vimuttimagga — “The Path of Freedom” (Upatissa), translated from the Chinese into English by N. R. M. Ehara, Soma Thera and Kheminda Thera; published in Colombo in 1961 (publisher D. Roland D. Weerasuria), initiated by the Buddhist Publication Society, Kandy. The rights status of this edition is not conclusively established; a request to the Buddhist Publication Society is prepared. Until then the text stands here like the others: non-commercial, ad-free, and removed at once should the rights holders wish it.

Stage images of the learning path
The eight images of the learning-path stages are not new photographs but horizontal crops of the photographs listed above. The author and licence of each original photograph continue to apply unchanged; only the crop was altered. The full mapping (which stage comes from which photograph) is given in the file LICENSE-stufenbilder.txt next to the images.

The German translations shown here — among them those by Nyanatiloka, Nyanaponika and Julius Dutoit — are made freely available by the initiatives named above for Dhamma purposes (dāna) and are passed on here in that same spirit. Some of these translations are still in copyright; they are offered here without profit and without advertising. Should any rights holder wish for a change or removal, a note is enough — we will act on it at once.
