Ein Ājīvaka
„Mönche und Nonnen, ein Ājīvaka-Asket, der fünf Eigenschaften besitzt, wird in die Hölle gestoßen. Welche fünf? Er tötet lebende Geschöpfe, stiehlt, hat Geschlechtsverkehr, lügt und trinkt Rauschmittel wie Bier, Wein und Branntwein. Ein Ājīvaka-Asket, der diese fünf Eigenschaften besitzt, wird in die Hölle gestoßen.“

“Mendicants, an Ājīvaka ascetic with five qualities is placed in hell as if delivered there. What five? They kill living creatures, steal, have sex, lie, and consume beer, wine, and liquor intoxicants. An Ājīvaka ascetic with these five qualities is placed in hell as if delivered there.”

“Pañcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato ājīvako yathābhataṁ nikkhitto evaṁ niraye. Katamehi pañcahi? Pāṇātipātī hoti, adinnādāyī hoti, abrahmacārī hoti, musāvādī hoti, surāmerayamajjapamādaṭṭhāyī hoti. Imehi kho, bhikkhave, pañcahi dhammehi samannāgato ājīvako yathābhataṁ nikkhitto evaṁ niraye”ti.
