Sāmidatta

Die fünf Aggregate sind vollständig verstanden;
sie bestehen noch, doch ihre Wurzel ist abgeschnitten.
Das Umherwandern durch Geburten ist beendet,
künftige Leben wird es jetzt nicht mehr geben.

Chapter Nine

Sāmidatta

The five aggregates are fully understood;
they remain, but their root is cut.
Transmigration through births is finished,
now there’ll be no more future lives.

Navamavagga

Sāmidattattheragāthā

“Pañcakkhandhā pariññātā,
tiṭṭhanti chinnamūlakā;
Vikkhīṇo jātisaṁsāro,
natthi dāni punabbhavo”ti.

Tassuddānaṁ

Thero samitigutto ca,
kassapo sīhasavhayo;
Nīto sunāgo nāgito,
paviṭṭho ajjuno isi;
Devasabho ca yo thero,
sāmidatto mahabbaloti.
