Was ich heute verzehrt habe, gilt als besser
als himmlisches Korn von hundert Geschmäcken –
der Dhamma, vom Buddha gelehrt,
von Gotama, der unendliches Sehen besitzt.

Paripuṇṇaka

What I consumed today is considered better
than delicious grain of a hundred flavors—
the Dhamma taught by the Buddha,
Gotama of infinite vision.

Paripuṇṇakattheragāthā

“Na tathā mataṁ satarasaṁ,
Sudhannaṁ yaṁ mayajja paribhuttaṁ;
Aparimitadassinā gotamena,
Buddhena desito dhammo”ti.
