Mit Rāhula

In Sāvatthī.

Da ging der Ehrwürdige Rāhula zum Buddha, verbeugte sich, setzte sich zur Seite hin und sagte zu ihm:

„Herr, auf welche Art erkennt und sieht man, sodass es kein Ich-Machen, kein Mein-Machen und keine zugrunde liegende Neigung zur Einbildung für diesen mit Bewusstsein versehenen Körper gibt, noch für alle Merkmale außerhalb?“

„Rāhula, man sieht jegliche Art von Form – vergangen, zukünftig oder gegenwärtig, innen oder außen, grob oder subtil, gering oder hochstehend, fern oder nah: jegliche Form – wahrhaftig mit rechter Weisheit: ‚Das ist nicht mein, das bin nicht ich, das ist nicht mein Selbst.‘

Man sieht jegliche Art von Gefühl … jegliche Art von Wahrnehmung … jegliche Art von Willensbildungsprozessen … jegliche Art von Bewusstsein – vergangen, zukünftig oder gegenwärtig, innen oder außen, grob oder subtil, gering oder hochstehend, fern oder nah: jegliches Bewusstsein – wahrhaftig mit rechter Weisheit: ‚Das ist nicht mein, das bin nicht ich, das ist nicht mein Selbst.‘

Auf diese Art erkennt und sieht man, sodass es kein Ich-Machen, kein Mein-Machen und keine zugrunde liegende Neigung zur Einbildung für diesen mit Bewusstsein versehenen Körper gibt, noch für alle Merkmale außerhalb.“

At Sāvatthī.

Then Venerable Rāhula went up to the Buddha, bowed, sat down to one side, and said to him:

“Sir, how does one know and see so that there’s no I-making, mine-making, or underlying tendency to conceit for this conscious body and externally for all signs?”

“Rāhula, one truly sees any kind of form at all—past, future, or present; internal or external; solid or subtle; inferior or superior; far or near: <em>all</em> form—with right understanding: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’

One truly sees any kind of feeling … perception … choices … consciousness at all—past, future, or present; internal or external; solid or subtle; inferior or superior; far or near: <em>all</em> consciousness—with right understanding: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’

That’s how to know and see so that there’s no I-making, mine-making, or underlying tendency to conceit for this conscious body and externally for all signs.”

Rāhulasutta

Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

Atha kho āyasmā rāhulo yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā …pe… ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rāhulo bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:

“kathaṁ nu kho, bhante, jānato kathaṁ passato imasmiñca saviññāṇake kāye bahiddhā ca sabbanimittesu ahaṅkāramamaṅkāramānānusayā na hontī”ti?

“Yaṁ kiñci, rāhula, rūpaṁ atītānāgatapaccuppannaṁ ajjhattaṁ vā bahiddhā vā oḷārikaṁ vā sukhumaṁ vā hīnaṁ vā paṇītaṁ vā yaṁ dūre santike vā, sabbaṁ rūpaṁ ‘netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhūtaṁ sammappaññāya passati.

Yā kāci vedanā … yā kāci saññā … ye keci saṅkhārā … yaṁ kiñci viññāṇaṁ atītānāgatapaccuppannaṁ ajjhattaṁ vā bahiddhā vā …pe… sabbaṁ viññāṇaṁ ‘netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhūtaṁ sammappaññāya passati.

Evaṁ kho, rāhula, jānato evaṁ passato imasmiñca saviññāṇake kāye bahiddhā ca sabbanimittesu ahaṅkāramamaṅkāramānānusayā na hontī”ti.
