In Sāvatthī.
Als er sich zur Seite hingesetzt hatte, sagte der Ehrwürdige Rādha zum Buddha:
„Herr, man spricht von dieser Sache, die ‚ihrer Natur nach Leiden‘ genannt wird. Was ist seiner Natur nach Leiden?“
„Rādha, Form ist ihrer Natur nach Leiden, Gefühl ist seiner Natur nach Leiden, Wahrnehmung ist ihrer Natur nach Leiden, Willensbildungsprozesse sind ihrer Natur nach Leiden, Bewusstsein ist seiner Natur nach Leiden.
Wenn er das sieht … Er versteht: ‚… es gibt nichts weiter für diesen Ort.‘“
Liable to Suffering
At Sāvatthī.
Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:
“Sir, they speak of having ‘suffering nature’. What is of a nature to suffer?”
“Rādha, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness are of a nature to suffer.
Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is nothing further for this place.’”
Dukkhadhammasutta
Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:
“‘dukkhadhammo, dukkhadhammo’ti, bhante, vuccati. Katamo nu kho, bhante, dukkhadhammo”ti?
“Rūpaṁ kho, rādha, dukkhadhammo, vedanā dukkhadhammo, saññā dukkhadhammo, saṅkhārā dukkhadhammo, viññāṇaṁ dukkhadhammo.
Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātī”ti.
