Not-Self

Ohne Selbst

In Sāvatthī.

Als er sich zur Seite hingesetzt hatte, sagte der Ehrwürdige Rādha zum Buddha:

„Herr, man spricht von dieser Sache, die ‚ohne Selbst‘ genannt wird. Was ist ohne Selbst?“

„Rādha, Form, Gefühl, Wahrnehmung, Willensbildungsprozesse und Bewusstsein sind ohne Selbst.

Wenn er das sieht … Er versteht: ‚… es gibt nichts weiter für diesen Ort.‘“

Not-Self

At Sāvatthī.

Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:

“Sir, they speak of ‘not-self’. What is not-self?”

“Rādha, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness are not-self.

Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is nothing further for this place.’”

Anattasutta

Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:

“‘anattā, anattā’ti, bhante, vuccati. Katamo nu kho, bhante, anattā”ti?

“Rūpaṁ kho, rādha, anattā, vedanā anattā, saññā anattā, saṅkhārā anattā, viññāṇaṁ anattā.

Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātī”ti.
