Seiner Natur nach ohne Selbst

In Sāvatthī.

Als er sich zur Seite hingesetzt hatte, sagte der Ehrwürdige Rādha zum Buddha:

„Herr, man spricht von dieser Sache, die ‚ihrer Natur nach ohne Selbst‘ genannt wird. Was ist seiner Natur nach ohne Selbst?“

„Rādha, Form ist ihrer Natur nach ohne Selbst, Gefühl ist seiner Natur nach ohne Selbst, Wahrnehmung ist ihrer Natur nach ohne Selbst, Willensbildungsprozesse sind ihrer Natur nach ohne Selbst, Bewusstsein ist seiner Natur nach ohne Selbst.

Wenn er das sieht … Er versteht: ‚… es gibt nichts weiter für diesen Ort.‘“

Naturally Not-Self

At Sāvatthī.

Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:

“Sir, they speak of having ‘not-self nature’. What has a nature of not-self?”

“Rādha, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness have a nature of not-self.

Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is nothing further for this place.’”

Anattadhammasutta

Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:

“‘anattadhammo, anattadhammo’ti, bhante, vuccati. Katamo nu kho, bhante, anattadhammo”ti?

“Rūpaṁ kho, rādha, anattadhammo, vedanā anattadhammo, saññā anattadhammo, saṅkhārā anattadhammo, viññāṇaṁ anattadhammo.

Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātī”ti.
