In Sāvatthī.

„Mönche und Nonnen, Bilder sind unbeständig, verfallen und gehen zugrunde. Töne, Gerüche, Geschmäcke, Berührungen und Vorstellungen sind unbeständig, verfallen und gehen zugrunde.

Jemand, der Vertrauen und Zuversicht zu diesen Lehren hat, wird ein Nachfolger durch Vertrauen genannt. Er ist nun auf den richtigen Weg festgelegt, er ist bei der Stufe des wahren Menschen angekommen und hat die Stufe des unwahren Menschen hinter sich gelassen. Er kann keine Tat begehen, durch die er in der Hölle, im Tierreich oder im Gespensterreich wiedergeboren würde. Er kann nicht sterben, ohne die Frucht des Stromeintritts zu verwirklichen.

Jemand, der diese Lehren annimmt, nachdem er mit einem Maß an Weisheit überlegt hat, wird ein Nachfolger der Lehren genannt. Er ist nun auf den richtigen Weg festgelegt, er ist bei der Stufe des wahren Menschen angekommen und hat die Stufe des unwahren Menschen hinter sich gelassen. Er kann keine Tat begehen, durch die er in der Hölle, im Tierreich oder im Gespensterreich wiedergeboren würde. Er kann nicht sterben, ohne die Frucht des Stromeintritts zu verwirklichen.

Jemand, der diese Lehren versteht und sieht, wird einer genannt, der in den Strom eingetreten ist, der nicht mehr in der Unterwelt wiedergeboren werden muss und der für das Erwachen bestimmt ist.“

At Sāvatthī.

“Mendicants, sights are impermanent, decaying, and perishing. Sounds, smells, tastes, touches, and ideas are impermanent, decaying, and perishing.

Someone who has faith and confidence in these teachings is called a follower by faith. They’ve stepped into the sure path, they’ve stepped into the level of the true person, and they’ve passed beyond the level of the untrue person. They can’t do any deed which would make them be reborn in hell, the animal realm, or the ghost realm. They can’t die without realizing the fruit of stream-entry.

Someone who accepts these teachings after deliberating them with a degree of wisdom is called a follower of teachings. They’ve stepped into the sure path, they’ve stepped into the level of the true person, and they’ve passed beyond the level of the untrue person. They can’t do any deed which would make them be reborn in hell, the animal realm, or the ghost realm. They can’t die without realizing the fruit of stream-entry.

Someone who understands and sees these principles is called a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, destined for awakening.”

Rūpasutta

Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

“Rūpā, bhikkhave, aniccā vipariṇāmino aññathābhāvino; saddā aniccā vipariṇāmino aññathābhāvino; gandhā aniccā vipariṇāmino aññathābhāvino; rasā aniccā vipariṇāmino aññathābhāvino; phoṭṭhabbā aniccā vipariṇāmino aññathābhāvino; dhammā aniccā vipariṇāmino aññathābhāvino.

Yo, bhikkhave, ime dhamme evaṁ saddahati adhimuccati, ayaṁ vuccati saddhānusārī, okkanto sammattaniyāmaṁ, sappurisabhūmiṁ okkanto, vītivatto puthujjanabhūmiṁ; abhabbo taṁ kammaṁ kātuṁ, yaṁ kammaṁ katvā nirayaṁ vā tiracchānayoniṁ vā pettivisayaṁ vā upapajjeyya; abhabbo ca tāva kālaṁ kātuṁ yāva na sotāpattiphalaṁ sacchikaroti.

Yassa kho, bhikkhave, ime dhammā evaṁ paññāya mattaso nijjhānaṁ khamanti, ayaṁ vuccati: ‘dhammānusārī, okkanto sammattaniyāmaṁ, sappurisabhūmiṁ okkanto, vītivatto puthujjanabhūmiṁ; abhabbo taṁ kammaṁ kātuṁ, yaṁ kammaṁ katvā nirayaṁ vā tiracchānayoniṁ vā pettivisayaṁ vā upapajjeyya; abhabbo ca tāva kālaṁ kātuṁ yāva na sotāpattiphalaṁ sacchikaroti’.

Yo, bhikkhave, ime dhamme evaṁ pajānāti evaṁ passati, ayaṁ vuccati: ‘sotāpanno avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyano’”ti.
