„Mönche und Nonnen, es gibt drei Gefühle. Welche drei?

Angenehmes, schmerzhaftes und neutrales Gefühl. Das sind die drei Gefühle.

Was man auch fühlt,
Glück, Schmerz
oder etwas Neutrales,
innerlich und äußerlich –

wenn man das als Leiden erkannt hat,
als trügerisch, zerfallend,
sieht man es verschwinden mit jeder Berührung:
so schwindet die Leidenschaft dafür.“

Pleasure

“Mendicants, there are these three feelings. What three?

Pleasant, painful, and neutral feeling. These are the three feelings.

Whatever is felt
internally and externally—
whether pleasure or pain
as well as what’s neutral—

having known this as suffering,
deceptive, breaking apart,
one sees them vanish <j>as they’re experienced again and again:
that’s how to be free of desire for them.”

Sukhasutta

“Tisso imā, bhikkhave, vedanā. Katamā tisso?

Sukhā vedanā, dukkhā vedanā, adukkhamasukhā vedanā— imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso vedanāti.

Sukhaṁ vā yadi vā dukkhaṁ,
adukkhamasukhaṁ saha;
Ajjhattañca bahiddhā ca,
yaṁ kiñci atthi veditaṁ.

Etaṁ dukkhanti ñatvāna,
mosadhammaṁ palokinaṁ;
Phussa phussa vayaṁ passaṁ,
evaṁ tattha virajjatī”ti.
