Asketen und Brahmanen (1)
„Mönche und Nonnen, es gibt drei Gefühle. Welche drei? Angenehmes, schmerzhaftes und neutrales Gefühl.
Es gibt Asketen und Brahmanen, die bei diesen drei Gefühlen die Befriedigung, den Nachteil und das Entrinnen nicht wahrhaftig verstehen. Sie erachte ich nicht als wahre Asketen und Brahmanen. Diese Ehrwürdigen verwirklichen nicht das Ziel des Lebens als Asket oder Brahmane, sie leben nicht, indem sie es in eben diesem Leben mit ihrer eigenen Einsicht erkannt haben.
Es gibt Asketen und Brahmanen, die bei diesen drei Gefühlen die Befriedigung, den Nachteil und das Entrinnen wahrhaftig verstehen. Sie erachte ich als wahre Asketen und Brahmanen. Diese Ehrwürdigen verwirklichen das Ziel des Lebens als Asket oder Brahmane, sie leben, indem sie es in eben diesem Leben mit ihrer eigenen Einsicht erkannt haben.“

“Mendicants, there are these three feelings. What three? Pleasant, painful, and neutral feeling.
There are ascetics and brahmins who don’t truly understand these three feelings’ gratification, drawback, and escape. I don’t deem them as true ascetics and brahmins. Those venerables don’t realize the goal of life as an ascetic or brahmin, and don’t live having realized it with their own insight.
There are ascetics and brahmins who do truly understand these three feelings’ gratification, drawback, and escape. I deem them as true ascetics and brahmins. Those venerables realize the goal of life as an ascetic or brahmin, and live having realized it with their own insight.”

“Tisso imā, bhikkhave, vedanā. Katamā tisso? Sukhā vedanā, dukkhā vedanā, adukkhamasukhā vedanā.
Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā imāsaṁ tissannaṁ vedanānaṁ samudayañca atthaṅgamañca assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṁ nappajānanti. Na me te, bhikkhave, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā samaṇesu vā samaṇasammatā brāhmaṇesu vā brāhmaṇasammatā, na ca pana te āyasmanto sāmaññatthaṁ vā brahmaññatthaṁ vā diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṁ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharanti.
Ye ca kho keci, bhikkhave, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā imāsaṁ tissannaṁ vedanānaṁ samudayañca atthaṅgamañca assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṁ pajānanti. Te kho me, bhikkhave, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā samaṇesu ceva samaṇasammatā brāhmaṇesu ca brāhmaṇasammatā. Te ca panāyasmanto sāmaññatthañca brahmaññatthañca, diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṁ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharantī”ti.
