Lower Fetters
Orambhāgiyasutta

Niedere Fesseln
„Mönche und Nonnen, es gibt fünf niedere Fesseln. Welche fünf? Substanzialistische Ansicht, Zweifel, falsches Verständnis von Regeln und Gelübden, sinnliches Begehren und böser Wille. Das sind die fünf niederen Fesseln.
Der edle achtfache Pfad sollte entwickelt werden, um diese fünf niederen Fesseln unmittelbar einzusehen, vollständig zu verstehen, zu beenden und aufzugeben.“
Lower Fetters
“Mendicants, there are five lower fetters. What five? Substantialist view, doubt, misapprehension of precepts and observances, sensual desire, and ill will. These are the five lower fetters.
The noble eightfold path should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these five lowers fetters.”
Orambhāgiyasutta
“Pañcimāni, bhikkhave, orambhāgiyāni saṁyojanāni. Katamāni pañca? Sakkāyadiṭṭhi, vicikicchā, sīlabbataparāmāso, kāmacchando, byāpādo— imāni kho, bhikkhave, pañcorambhāgiyāni saṁyojanāni.
Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, pañcannaṁ orambhāgiyānaṁ saṁyojanānaṁ abhiññāya pariññāya parikkhayāya pahānāya …pe… ayaṁ ariyo aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo bhāvetabbo”ti.
