Furcht vor dem schlechten Ort
„Mönche und Nonnen, ein edler Schüler, der vier Dinge besitzt, ist über jede Furcht vor Wiedergeburt an einem schlechten Ort hinausgegangen. Welche vier? Da hat ein edler Schüler auf Erfahrung gegründete Zuversicht zum Buddha … zur Lehre … und zum Saṅgha … Und seine Tugend wird von den Edlen geliebt … und führt in die Versenkung. Ein edler Schüler, der diese vier Dinge besitzt, ist über jede Furcht vor Wiedergeburt an einem schlechten Ort hinausgegangen.“
Fear of the Bad Place
“Mendicants, a noble disciple who has four things has gone beyond all fear of being reborn in a bad place. What four? It’s when a noble disciple has experiential confidence in the Buddha … the teaching … the Saṅgha … And they have the ethical conduct loved by the noble ones … leading to immersion. A noble disciple who has these four things has gone beyond all fear of being reborn in a bad place.”

“Catūhi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato ariyasāvako sabbaduggatibhayaṁ samatikkanto hoti. Katamehi catūhi? Idha, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako buddhe aveccappasādena samannāgato hoti— itipi so bhagavā …pe… satthā devamanussānaṁ buddho bhagavāti. Dhamme …pe… saṅghe …pe… ariyakantehi sīlehi samannāgato hoti akhaṇḍehi …pe… samādhisaṁvattanikehi. Imehi kho, bhikkhave, catūhi dhammehi samannāgato ariyasāvako sabbaduggatibhayaṁ samatikkanto hotī”ti.
