„Mönche und Nonnen, die Morgendämmerung ist der Vorbote und Vorläufer des Sonnenaufgangs.

Ebenso ist rechte Ansicht der Vorbote und Vorläufer davon, dass man die vier edlen Wahrheiten wahrhaftig versteht. Ein Mönch mit rechter Ansicht kann erwarten, wahrhaftig zu verstehen: ‚Das ist das Leiden.‘ … ‚Das ist der Ursprung des Leidens.‘ … ‚Das ist das Aufhören des Leidens.‘ … ‚Das ist die Übung, die zum Aufhören des Leidens führt.‘

Aus diesem Grund sollt ihr Meditation üben – um zu verstehen: ‚Das ist das Leiden.‘ … ‚Das ist die Übung, die zum Aufhören des Leidens führt.‘“

“Mendicants, the dawn is the forerunner and harbinger of the sunrise.

In the same way, right view is the forerunner and harbinger of truly comprehending the four noble truths. A mendicant with right view can expect to truly understand: ‘This is suffering’ … ‘This is the origin of suffering’ … ‘This is the cessation of suffering’ … ‘This is the practice that leads to the cessation of suffering’.

That’s why you should practice meditation …”

“Sūriyassa, bhikkhave, udayato etaṁ pubbaṅgamaṁ etaṁ pubbanimittaṁ, yadidaṁ—aruṇuggaṁ.

Evameva kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno catunnaṁ ariyasaccānaṁ yathābhūtaṁ abhisamayāya etaṁ pubbaṅgamaṁ etaṁ pubbanimittaṁ, yadidaṁ—sammādiṭṭhi. Tassetaṁ, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno pāṭikaṅkhaṁ: ‘idaṁ dukkhan’ti yathābhūtaṁ pajānissati …pe… ‘ayaṁ dukkhanirodhagāminī paṭipadā’ti yathābhūtaṁ pajānissati.

Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, ‘idaṁ dukkhan’ti yogo karaṇīyo …pe… ‘ayaṁ dukkhanirodhagāminī paṭipadā’ti yogo karaṇīyo”ti.
