Two discourses of the Dīgha Nikāya order the whole teaching by numbers from one to ten. These numbers are canonical structures of ordering and memory — not levels of difficulty or attainment. The guided learning path orders the same teaching didactically; the two views belong together, but they are not the same thing.

The functional matrix: for every number from one to ten, Sāriputta answers ten recurring tasks — What helps? What is to be developed, fully understood, given up? What leads to decline, what to distinction? What is hard to penetrate, to give rise to, to see directly, to realise? The result: 100 cells — each with its canonical wording and reference.
Saṅgīti Sutta · „Reciting together“
The broader canonical register of terms: a complementary collection of 230 doctrinal groups, likewise ordered from one to ten — without the ten tasks of DN 34. A different text with a different purpose: an order for reciting together from memory, not a matrix of tasks.
DN 33 and DN 34 are two different discourses with the same ordering principle (numbers one to ten) but different intentions: DN 33 collects broadly, DN 34 asks the same ten questions of every number. Where a DN 33 group has a counterpart in the DN 34 matrix, it is linked from the register — but the two are not forced into one another.
