“Sumano nāma nāmena,
mālākāro ahaṁ tadā;
Addasaṁ virajaṁ buddhaṁ,
lokāhutipaṭiggahaṁ.

Ubho hatthehi paggayha,
sumanaṁ pupphamuttamaṁ;
Buddhassa abhiropesiṁ,
sikhino lokabandhuno.

Imāya pupphapūjāya,
cetanāpaṇidhīhi ca;
Duggatiṁ nābhijānāmi,
buddhapūjāyidaṁ phalaṁ.

Ekattiṁse ito kappe,
yaṁ pupphamabhiropayiṁ;
Duggatiṁ nābhijānāmi,
buddhapūjāyidaṁ phalaṁ.

Chabbīsatimhi kappamhi,
cattārosuṁ mahāyasā;
Sattaratanasampannā,
rājāno cakkavattino.

Paṭisambhidā catasso,
…pe…
kataṁ buddhassa sāsanaṁ”.

Itthaṁ sudaṁ āyasmā sumano thero imā gāthāyo abhāsitthāti.

Sumanattherassāpadānaṁ navamaṁ.
