Fünf zu zerschneiden, fünf fallen zu lassen,
fünf mehr noch zu entwickeln:
Wenn ein Mönch fünf Ketten entschlüpft,
heißt es, er hat die Flut überquert.

Five to cut, five to drop,
and five more to develop.
When a mendicant slips five chains
they’re said to have crossed the flood.
